The Premiere of Leave No One Behind
From cheers to tears—reliving the premiere of Leave No One Behind, a documentary on sportsmanship and unity in Malaysia.

On 9 August 2025, my documentary Leave No One Behind had its first premiere at the Institute Sukan Negara, Bukit Jalil. We held two sessions on the same day, with around 150 people in each.
As the director, I had already watched the film countless times during editing — yet experiencing it with a live audience was something else entirely. The cheers, claps, and even tears at moments of sportsmanship reminded me why I embarked on this journey. Some viewers shared that they were deeply moved, and the post-screening survey gave the film a 4.8/5 score.
Many came forward to congratulate me and thank me for telling this story. I am truly honored by this experience and hope this will be just the beginning — that I may continue producing and directing more meaningful documentaries in the future.
