The Paranormal Zone is a unique documentary series that investigates unexplained phenomena across Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, and Taiwan. Starting on Malaysia’s ntv7 and later expanding to NBC Asia’s Sci-Fi Channel across 36 countries, the show invites viewers to question reality and approach the unseen world with openness and compassion.
I served in multiple roles—content researcher, line producer, assistant director, and post producer along the 4 seasons.
Among the many unforgettable stories, one from Yogyakarta stands out: a woman whose body mysteriously produced nails after being cursed by her ex-husband. Medical X-rays and collaborative treatment by doctors and spiritual healers confirmed her recovery. Another remarkable case in Taiwan used brainwave analysis to verify a psychic’s visions in real-time. These experiences reinforced the show’s core belief: the greatest darkness may not be the ghosts we fear, but the cruelty within people. This project remains one of the most mind-opening journeys I’ve had in storytelling.
