A New Journey with 老板不下班 (Boss Never Off)
From set to screen—bringing Boss Never Off to 8TV, where Malaysia’s top bosses reveal struggles behind their success.

After three months of preparation, we finally kicked off the filming of 老板不下班 (Boss Never Off) on 7 August. This Mandarin talk show on Malaysia’s national TV, 8TV, brings together 13 renowned business leaders who share not only their successes but also their personal struggles.
The set was designed just the way I envisioned — simple yet elegant — and the shoot itself was a milestone. We used a 4-camera multicam setup along with a robotic arm for dynamic shots. It’s rare to see robotic arm shooting in Malaysian TV productions due to the cost, but thanks to our sponsor, we managed to bring it in. Although it was my first time crafting shots this way, the results proved worth the challenge.
I’m grateful to the entire team — from technical crew and art department to production support and my assistant — who made sure everything ran smoothly. We’re now in post-production, and I truly hope each episode will inspire viewers.
